I've been experimenting with Kyle Webster's range of brushes recently and put together a bunch of children's illustrations. I sketched out a few typical characters you'd see in kids books and illustrated them with a range of emotions.

Working in this more hand drawn, messy style is really fun. Hopefully I'll get the chance to work on a kids book sometime soon and can put this style to good use. It's very different from the clean, vector style illustrations I create for our Wee Taps kids apps.

Some different challenges working within this style, but very rewarding to paint like this all day.
